Take the leap and jump from up to 15,000 feet
It will be nerve-racking, but try to enjoy the 20-minute flight to altitude and the views from the plane. Once the door opens it’s time to jump out! The plane exit is amazing
Enjoy the views and the rush of freefall for 60 seconds
You will be reaching up to 200km/h in freefall, but it will feel like floating in the sky. Experience up to 60 seconds of pure adrenaline from a birds-eye view
You can capture your skydive with video and photos
We offer skydiving video and photo packages at all our 1300SKYDIVE dropzones. You can even your very own videographer in freefall and get a video edit with music.
What if the parachute doesn't open?
It is very unlikely, but all our rigs are equipped with a reserve parachute and an Automatic Activation Device, even if no handles are pulled it will trigger the deployment automatically.
Let the adrenaline wear off under parachute
It is up to you though…ask your instructor for some spins if you want some extra thrill! Enjoy stunning views flying under a parachute back to the landing area

Boarding call! Choose one of our dropzones to jump out of a perfectly good plane. 1300SKYDIVE is a member of the Australian Parachute Federation. All our instructors are highly experienced with thousands of skydives each.
Located at Donnington Airpark, just 30min south of Townsville. Dive into the beautiful scenery of north Queensland jumping out of a plane with one of our experienced instructors.
How old do you have to be to skydive?
16 years old is the minimum age to do a tandem skydive in Australia. The minimum age to learn to skydive is 16 years old.
Are there any weight limits to skydive?
The maximum weight allowed is 115kg. This is due to safety reasons, to protect both our customers and staff. We weigh all customers at check-in, charges apply over 95kg:
- 95-99kg: +$25
- 100-109kg: +$50
- 110-115kg: +$100
Are photos and video included with my skydive?
Video and photo packages can be purchased as optional extras. If you book online you can do so within the checkout process. Alternatively, you can add your extras when you check-in on the day of your skydive. Visit our skydiving bookings page for up to date options and prices.
Can I skydive and land on the beach?
If you are planning to skydive in Cairns, we offer an optional beach landing on Etty Bay. For skydives in Caloundra with Sunshine Coast Skydivers, all our jumps include beach landing at no extra cost. With Airlie Beach Skydivers, and weather permitting, you can enjoy the only skydive with beach landing in the Whitsundays region.
How long does a skydive take?
- Flight to 14,000 feet: around 20 minutes
- Freefall: approx. 60 seconds
- Flight under parachute: 5-7 minutes
Can I wear jeans skydiving?
Our recommendation on what to wear skydiving:
- Wear comfortable clothes and dress for the weather on the day of your skydive.
- Up in the sky it will be cooler than on the ground, so bear that in mind.
- We will provide you with goggles. We have special ones to wear over prescription glasses if you need them.
- It is important to wear enclosed shoes that won’t fall off in freefall, please bring a pair of tennis shoes if you will be wearing flip flops or sandals on the day.
Who can go skydiving ?
Almost anyone can go skydiving in Australia. The main requirements set by the Australian Parachute Federation are min. age of 16 years old and max. weight of 115kg. There are no specific physical requirements to skydive in Australia, as long as there are no concerning health issues or lack of mobility. Contact us with any questions you may have.
